Cognex Corporation appoints new independent registered public accounting firm
Grant Thornton LLP is now Cognex Corporation’s new independent registered public accounting firm. The company’s audit committee appointed the firm. Ernst & Young LLP was the company’s previous firm of record. The decision to change independent registered public accounting firms was a common consensus that was approved by the audit committee and was not the result of any differences with Ernst & Young. Cognex Corporation designs, develops, manufactures, and markets machine vision sensors and systems.
Michael Baker Corporation names Craig O. Stuver acting chief financial officer
Craig O. Stuver has been appointed the acting chief financial officer of Michael Baker Corporation. He will take over for William P. Mooney, who recently resigned. Prior to the appointment, Stuver was the company’s senior vice president, corporate controller, treasurer, and chief accounting officer. In his new role, Baker will oversee the company's accounting, treasury, and tax functions worldwide. Commenting on the new appointee, Richard L. Shaw, chairperson and chief executive officer, said, "The board is pleased that Craig has agreed to take on these additional duties during this transition period." Meanwhile, the audit committee will be looking for candidates, both internally and externally, to fill the position permanently.
