Description
The Business Informatics Shared Services (BISS) Team is focused on optimizing the execution, investments, strategy, application experience, project delivery, and governance between the corporate technology and business teams, primarily in support of enterprise Finance. However, due to extensive and broad enterprise data experience the team is frequently engaged to support efforts outside of Finance.
Responsibilities
The Finance Business Systems Professional (Technology Solution Implementation Professional 2) delivers new technological solutions to meet business needs within a specified scope while aligned to enterprise objectives. The Technology Solution Implementation Professional 2 work with Finance, Actuarial, and other operational departments within Humana on process implementation. In this role, this associate will work on healthcare data, creating structured data flows, making sense of big data sets, and owning Data Marts.
Key Responsibilities:
Gathers and documents business systems and functional requirements for Oracle Data Marts in Humana's Enterprise Data Warehouse and associated web screens
Proficient in using SQL to gather data and perform data checks and analysis
Collaborate with IT on implementation of prototyped designs
Assist business users with testing with environment management
Own and support production processes that produce finance and actuarial accruals
Become subject matter expert on data related to membership, capitation arrangements, claims, premium, admin, banking, scheduling, etc.
As a Finance Business Systems Professional you can become a subject matter expert in any of the below disciplines:
Creating and owning fundamental data assets for Finance, Actuaries, and the Enterprise as a whole
Designing and troubleshooting allocation methods embedded in financial reporting processes
Providing vital decision input to business objectives such as behavioral health claims data analysis
Improving reporting and datasets in the Enterprise Data Warehouse such as Capitation arrangements
Understanding Medicare and Commercial membership counting methods and revenue accruals
Developing and testing data requirements for Member Level Capitation(MLC), Direct Contract Entity(DCE), NextGen, and migration to Cloud technology
Serving as a Data Steward to interface with the Data Governance Org
Use management tools such as Azure RMS, qTest, Service Now
Enabling business transformation through the systems development lifecycle with our IT partners
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or related field
2 years of Accounting, Finance and/or Systems experience
Knowledge of using SQL to manipulate, summarize, and extract data from large data sets
Knowledgeable on how to structure data to accomplish a business objective
Prior experience with coordination and implementation of design and requirements, testing, operational readiness, and transition to the appropriate production support team.
Prior experience problem solving and consulting within complex environments
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree of Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field
Experience in technical writing
Project management experience
Product management experience
Knowledge and understanding of the SDLC process
