Aon is looking for a Risk Manager:As part of an industry-leading team within our Accountants Risk Transfer and Risk Mitigation Division, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Aon Affinity in Fort Washington, PA. POSITION SUMMARY: Qualified candidate will be a senior level, preferably a licensed CPA or JD, with technical expertise in risk management and loss prevention for our client base of Certified Public Accountants. The individual will be responsible for the delivery of risk management consulting services to Aon’s largest CPA firm clients to primarily assist them with mitigating professional liability risks as well as provide risk advice regarding Cyber, Employment Practices, Management Liability and other related exposures. The individual will provide advice and recommendations to owners and senior management of CPA firms related to the firm’s delivery of professional services to their clients. The individual will also develop and deliver presentations/training both virtually and in-person, research and author articles (remove for industry publications) for industry publications and develop and maintain existing risk management resources. The individual will also collaborate with Aon team members as well as internal and external business partners to identify and assess emerging risk issues and develop products and services to help address those emerging risks. Maintain a working knowledge of the coverages afforded under the various insurance products sold through Aon to CPAs and the types of claims and lawsuits presented under these policies. Maintain a working knowledge of current laws, regulations, and professional standards applicable to CPAs engaged in the practice of public accountancy. Maintain a working knowledge of risk management practices recommended for use by CPAs engaged in the practice of public accountancy to prevent accounting malpractice claims and lawsuits. Effectively collaborate with internal Aon colleagues and Aon business partners to foster a team approach to conducting businessPeriodically conduct competitive analyses of risk management services offered to CPAsReview, on a consultative basis, language in client engagement letters, master service agreements and requests for proposal to assess its impact on liability exposureMay perform additional duties as assignedDevelop an understanding of E&O, Cyber, EPL, D&O insurance marketplace and our team’s products and servicesOwn all aspects of client service for clients and prospects with collaboration with the team as neededAs needed, participate in client renewal and prospect renewal and new business meetingsUnderstand the causes of E&O and avoid and adopt practices to reduce exposureTravel – 25% to 40% on a given month You Bring Knowledge and Expertise:Required Experience:The highest level of technical and product specific expertise, risk control evaluation and assessment skills and knowledge of insurance and risk control principles, practices and procedures. Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation) and marketing skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners and colleagues.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time. Ability to deal with ambiguous and evolving situations and issues. Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems. Ability to achieve results by taking a proactive long-term view of the client’s business goals and objectives. Ability and willingness to travel once COVID restrictions are lifted. Ability to build strong, positive and long-term relationships Education:Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
