The Reporting & Planning Systems & Data Leader will partner with the business to identify requirements and partner with the financial systems team to aid in design, development, integration, and testing of those requirements into the various financial systems. Position requires strong project management and organizational skills, as well as knowledge of the business and HQ reporting requirements.
Design and drive adoption of reporting, system and data standards designed to meet external reporting requirements
Manage implementation and ongoing operation of reporting tools necessary to enable spin to stand alone company as well as future ongoing reporting
Manage design, implementation, and operation of tools that enable collection and reporting of supplemental data utilized in internal and external reporting
Manage design, implementation, and operation of company wide financial planning tool
Design and drive adherence to global standards with goal of increasing standard work and automation across the total company
Work closely with HQ and business finance teams to understand and implement requirements, tools and process that will deliver external reporting while also supporting internal reporting needs
Manage design of master data structures to promote systemic accounting and reporting; understanding integrations and relationships across various financial systems to promote strong wing to wing systemic capabilities from accounting to reporting
Coordinate with other financial systems teams, including business ERP teams, to enable solutions for financial reporting
Contribute to period end financial reporting through operation of tools and data, as well as ongoing support to all levels of the business
Manage activities of project team resources, including external vendors, to support and deliver solutions relating to the programs
Be advisor to broad finance teams in the area of financial reporting requirements and solutions
Coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required
Identify, recruit, grow, and retain talent with appropriate levels of expertise to deliver on the daily management and/or transformational priorities of the organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
Major experience of progressive accounting or finance experience
Desired Characteristics
Extensive experience working with financial systems including but not limited to Oracle, Hyperion, Workiva, Business Objects and/or other related tools
Solid understand of USGAAP and statutory accounting principles with ability to translate accounting and reporting requirements to system solutions
Prior experience/ exposure working with GE’s financial/ operational processes and IT applications
Ability to lead broad organization through long-term disruptive changes, engaging with teams to drive adoption of strategy and solid change management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas

The salary range for this position is $139,900, $186,500, $233,100 USD Annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include Health and Retirement
