Best Buy One Finance team is seeking an Accounting Analyst who will support the area of Accounts Receivable (AR) with the primary role supporting gift cards and the mobile phone business, providing reporting and analysis of monthly results, along with identifying and documenting business risks and opportunities.

This role is responsible for supporting month-end close through calculation of reserves, reconciliation of key accounts and performing and reviewing journal entries. The Accounting Analyst will identify and propose process improvements and automation ideas.

In addition, the Accounting Analyst will focus on understanding and analyzing our Gift Card liability and related breakage, and will also analyze the receivables from carriers relating to our mobile phone commissions business. Along with the receivable balance, this role will be

responsible for calculating the associated reserve and ensuring Best Buy's risk is fully assessed. In addition, the individual in this role will test SOX controls along with developing and maintaining a strong business relationship with cross-functional business partners including our Gift Card and AR Finance Operations teams, Sales Audit and Mobile FP&A.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries and provide variance analyses

Prepare and reconcile multiple account reconciliations

Provide reporting and analysis of monthly financial results

Assist in analyzing quarterly breakage results and monthly mobile AR reserve

Support quarterly SOX requirements and testing and year-end audits

Partner with FP&A team on the budget/forecast process

Basic Requirements:

0-1 years’ experience in an Accounting related role within disciplines including Accounting/Controllership, Audit, Finance, Procurement, Tax

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 3 years of experience in Finance/Accounting

CPA

Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects

Experience with Oracle financials

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPS, pivot tables, etc.)
