Sr Analyst Accounting

SUMMARY: This Sr. Analyst Accounting position will perform and coordinate accounting processes according to GAAP, regulatory requirements, and industry practices. This will include recording journal entries, compiling management reports and analyzing account balances. The Sr. Analyst Accounting will also assist with the implementation and execution of internal control procedures. Fully participate in and support a timely and accurate monthly closing process, including preparation of journal entries, performing reconciliations, and completing supporting schedules of the accounts assigned. Prepare and analyze calculations and journal entries to other business units. Analyze accounting results, identify, explain and communicate variances with management. Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts monthly and quarterly. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages. Generate applicable analysis and reports to divisional, regional, and location management to provide clarity, understanding and explanations of monthly financial results. Assist in system related projects and other job duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Accounting, Finance or related business degree.

EXPERIENCE: 1 to 3 years of experience.

COMPUTER SKILS: Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel, experience with SAP or similar Enterprise software is highly desirable.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Relationship management and communication skills. Basic knowledge of all business cycles, and processes that impact Sales and Operations (Order to Cash, Demand Planning, Sales and Operations Accounting, Purchase to Pay, Payroll, etc.).

SUPERVISORY: NoneTRAVEL: Less than 6 trips per year.
