The College of Medicine is seeking a Payroll Analyst to process mid-monthly and monthly payrolls for all College of Medicine faculty practice plan employees. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for providing customer service to various departments within the College by investigating and solving payroll related issues that arise and answering any payroll related questions.

*Communicate with Human Resources Consultants regarding new hires, employee status changes (i.e. deductions, rates, address changes, garnishments). Approval or entry of changes into the payroll system. *Ensure internal compliance through verification, authorization and completion of all payroll forms required for processing payroll. *Analyze and approve personal, position, status, various compensation coding and schedule for new hires based on offer letter and policies. *Verification and input of employee local, school district and resident taxing requirements. *Setup and verify organizational codes to assure proper payroll work location, taxing and mapping to general ledger. *Post departmental labor allocations on a monthly or mid monthly basis. *Record and calculate paid and unpaid time off. *Setup and maintenance of garnishments, IRS levy’s, child and spousal support orders. *Review and record timesheets and attendance records for non-salaried employees. *Analyze compensation related data for compliance with earning codes. *Prepare and send multiple payrolls. *Process terminations, payouts and damage calculations as needed. *Responsible for the set up and termination of employees within our pension provider’s website via elected plans. *Remittance of pension files to pension provider each payroll. *Conduct monthly audits for salary, taxing, benefits, imputed income, 401a, voluntary pension caps as well as other misc. audits. *Assist manager as needed with project and resolving payroll issues. *Complete employee verifications and unemployment requests. *Perform other duties as assigned.
