The IT Accounting Specialist

will assist the Director of Field Services with cost management of Information Technology expenses. This role will participate in key cost reduction projects which will be a primary component. Functions of this position will include vendor contact, billing research, services auditing, reporting, trending and projecting Information Technology spend. This role will also be responsible for the validation of new service activation and termination requests related to the Information Technology aspects of KAH infrastructure which includes but is not limited to voice, data, mobility and internet services as well as certain office equipment (including copiers). This position will also be involved in new office openings, moves and closures.

Essential Functions:

Conduct Site Services Audits

Assist with the administration, activation and termination of circuit orders

Assist with the return of vendor equipment for cancelled services (RMAs)

Assist with management of copier contracts, inventory, costs and shipping.

Perform billing research and some limited financial reporting

Assist with the management of carrier costs, contracts and renewals

Plan, direct, and oversee special projects as may be required.

Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors in order to obtain favorable pricing and efficient support.

Execute cost reduction projects

Budgeting and forecasting

Communicates regularly with supervisor about department issues and keeps management advised of potential problems in all areas

Demonstrates flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload

Consistently reports to work on time prepared to perform duties of position

Meets department productivity standards

Ensures compliance with rules and regulations

Participates on committees, and special projects, and seeks additional responsibilities

Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate

Recommends new approaches to effect on-going continual improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations

Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars

Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Maintains knowledge of healthcare, company information, and information systems technology, as it relates to IT audit changes/techniques.

Required Experience/Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field with significant IT concentration

Project Management Certification is a plus

2-4 years of experience in Accounting, or experience in an IT department in information security, Windows system administration, project management, application development, network administration, compliance and risk management

Familiar with 3 rd part Telecom Expense Management (TEMS) portals is a plus

Able to work some nights and weekends

Strong IT understanding (operating systems, networks, databases, applications, Internet/Intranet)

Project management experience

Familiar with 3 rd Part Telecom Expense Management (TEMS) portals

Detail and deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

Able to work independently and in a team environment

Must be self -motivated, require minimum supervision, and possess a strong attention to detail

Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate with outside vendors and internal staff

Able to work with confidential information

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 10, Microsoft Office 2010, 2013, 2016 (including Excel), Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and TEAMS

Ability to travel: 10%
