Description
The Senior Market Finance Professional collects, analyzes, and reports on various market data to connect financial outcomes with operational effectiveness. The Senior Market Finance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies to improve provider group outcomes.
Responsibilities
The Senior Market Finance Professional works primarily with Provider Experience, Actuary, Corporate Finance, and Clinical internally and Providers and Hospitals externally to drive member care and financial performance optimization inclusive of activities spanning analysis and decisions required for day-to-day operations to strategic planning and addressing specific business performance issues across organization, and fostering key relationships with Provider Engagement, Contracting, and Value Based Provider Group stakeholders. Begins to influence department's strategy. Performs analysis and makes recommendations for stakeholders on moderately complex to complex issues, responds to a variety of ad hoc data requests to answer specific financial questions for stakeholders, and in collaboration with Provider Engagement associates and other stakeholders, develops Provider Group strategies that may involve multiple, variable factors, and work is performed without direction. May develop new reporting tools as needed to support specific programs or initiatives. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3 years of data analyses and reporting experience
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate with teammates and stakeholders
Comprehensive working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and working knowledge of writing SQL queries
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Finance-Related Master's degree
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of pivot tables and look-up functions (Excel) and building queries (Power Queries in Excel/PowerBI or similar in Access)
Experience with Value-Based Contracting
