SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of this position is to further design and execute on Tyson’s financial benefit strategy in conjunction with the Financial Benefits Leader and People Ops team compliant with government regulations and in line with Tyson Core Values and Cultural Tenets. This position will actively lead and participate in the continuous improvement of financial benefits offerings to drive efficiencies and improve the team member experience.This role will develop solutions for a wide variety of complex issues related to financial benefits offerings (current and legacy qualified and non-qualified plans).Job Purpose/Summary:Key role in strategic planning and design for financial benefit program development and enhancements to manage plan costs, improve financial wellness of population, and ensure offering are competitive and compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.Analyze and make recommendations regarding the impact of current and pending regulatory, legislative, and reporting and disclosure requirements partnering with internal and external expert resources as necessaryManage vendor relationships and performance, and look for opportunities to optimize partnerships, that also includes screening of new vendors and making recommendations as needed.Handle escalated inquiries to provide clear resolution and minimize legal risks.Maintain deep understanding of applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, IRS, DOL) to ensure legal compliance.Support locations with union CBA activity and issues.Partner with Financial Benefits Leader to coordinate and analyze RFPs and contracts.Manage both current and legacy non-qualified deferred compensation plans and provide strategic information to leadership for legacy MEPPs (multi-employer pension plans).Bring deep plan understanding and analytics in support of strategic plan funding decisions by partnering with Financial and Accounting including in regard to COLI funding and obligations decisions.Lead financial benefit plans audit in conjunction with Benefits Accounting and external auditors.Determine qualification of domestic relations orders in accordance with regulations and written procedures.Utilize legal reporting from service organizations to ensure control objectives are met within the Financial Benefits COE.Proactively forecast and manage the financial benefits budget in partnership with Financial Benefits Leader.Manage escalations and critical function issue resolution related to financial benefits.Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and security of the benefit data used for reporting and analysis purposes.Assist leadership with M&A regarding impacts to and information for financial benefits.Manage policies that fall within the Financial Benefits COE.Partner with Legal in regard to Section 16 Insiders and annual proxy reporting, as well as appropriate financial benefits escalations.Requirements:EDUCATION/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience: 5 years of experience in financial benefits plan design, compliance and administration. Computer Skills: Requires standard computer skills, to include Microsoft Suite. Knowledge of SAP and Workday preferred.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; must have the ability to communicate business information to other team members, senior management, and third party plan administrators. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across the enterprise.Special Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; demonstrate success in managing multiple projects; must have the ability to work effectively with a team or work independently with little supervision; able to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and requires discretion in handling confidential matters.
