Description
The Senior HR Project Manager manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget. The Senior HR Project Manager work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Senior HR Project Manager designs, communicates, and implements an operational plan for completing the project; monitors progress and performance against the project plan; takes action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the project. Prepares designs and work specifications; develops project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. Communicates with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project. Conducts meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project. Sets priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinates project staff to meet project targets and milestones. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
Oversee project teams in an indirect reporting relationship and manage conflicts within groups
Efficiently identify and solve project issues and embody and demonstrate strong leadership qualities
Prepare resource and capacity planning at the program and project level
Lead Project team members in understanding and defining requirements related to project risk
Develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for external services
Design and maintain technical and project documentation
Champion the stakeholder's/business owner's needs and goals during the project
Act as an advocate for all leaders within HR, working closely with senior leaders and IT partners to ensure project estimations, creation of CBAs, understanding of return on investment/project prioritization, and securing of funding
Be a voice of the HR and an advocate for the Project Management team and the impacted business areas
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience
A minimum of 3 years progressive experience managing large scale projects
Proficient in MS Office Products (Outlook, Lync, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong collaboration and facilitation skills
Strong time management skills
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving associate experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
PMP and/or Six Sigma certification
Project Management Institute or Agile certification
Progressive experience managing portfolios of similar or dependent projects
Proven ability to understand capacity and effectively plan resourcing
Proven ability to understand cost benefit analysis and return on investment
Working knowledge of Azure Boards
