Aon is looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst The Aon Service Corp Business Asset and Corporate Real Estate Group (ASC BA/CRE) provides accounting and process management support for Aon’s US and Canadian operations, finance and tax groups, with a primary focus on real estate and IT systems and support. The group is involved in end-to-end procurement, asset lifecycle management, IT contract support, and managing related information and processes through Workday and other enterprise systems. Regular work also includes controllership activities and collaborating with partner groups on accounting and process solutions for their internal businesses. The group is a core participant in business acquisitions and divestitures, and IT systems implementations and improvements. ASC BA/CRE team members bring diverse skills and add value through their abilities to work in a high-performance environment to optimize solutions with internal business partners across the infrastructure spectrum. Responsibilities:Support US and Canadian functional groups on lease accounting, asset procurement and lifecycle management, IT contract support, and related projects as needed. Support and collaborate with IT FP&A; IT Operations and Application Development; Corporate Real Estate FP&A, Construction and Facilities Management; Corporate, International and Indirect Tax teams; Procurement, acquisitions and divestiture deal teams, Controllerships, Corporate and Technical Accounting,Support for real estate construction and internally developed software capital projectsProcurement – support requisitioners in asset purchases; review and approval of purchase requests, invoices and PO’s as needed.Participate in ASC monthly close around various balance sheet and P&L components as assigned; analysis and close work around system processes generating accounting to the GL.General corporate real estate accounting and supportWorking capital forecasting, including building and managing quantitative modelsUS shared service prepaids and current liabilities accounting, especially around IT SW licensing and HW/SW maintenance and support contracts and servicesPerform annual SOX testing; maintain and improve SOX documentation and workbooksWork with external auditors during interim and year-end testingWork on optimizing accounting operations, processes and internal controlsWork with Technical Accounting, finance groups and controllers to ensure accounting and processes are properly established around IT SW licensing and HW/SW maintenance and support contractsSupport the Corp Tax and Indirect Tax teams on asset tax accounting, including tax audit support, interim and year-end reporting, personal property tax, yearly tax packages, and other projects as neededParticipate in configuration, management and implementation of Workday financial systems.
