We’re searching for an experienced, razor-sharp Senior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. The person in this role will be responsible for implementing best-practice policies and procedures that ensure accurate and timely accounting for our rapidly expanding Gross Margin team. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, disciplined, and detail-oriented self-starter with an eye for process improvement and a knack for working independently in a high-volume environment. What you’ll do:
Review and reconcile cost of goods sold on a monthly basis and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
Provide data-driven explanations for any material fluctuations related to inventory, including unit cost, quantity changes, and management of our Home Try-On program
Act as a key liaison between our Inventory Control, Merchant Planning, and Product Development teams
Calculate and manage inventory reserves and review any large fluctuations on a monthly basis
Serve as a subject-matter expert within our department for all internal and external inventory-related inquiries, escalating and helping resolve issues as needed
Respond to audit requests as well as interdepartmental requests and questions related to inventory and cost of goods sold
Mentor, review, and assist staff accountant during month-end close procedures
Who you are:
Backed by 3–4 years of accounting experience with exposure to inventory accounting
The proud owner of a Bachelor of Science in accounting or finance
A total Excel expert (keyboard shortcuts are your love language)
Always looking for new and innovative ways to work—you’re excited by the challenge of improving and documenting all the processes you can
An organized and detail-oriented self-starter, willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done
A team player and a clear, kind communicator
Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
