Description

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support necessary for cost allocations, DHA reporting, and DCAA audits, as well as supporting budgets. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Support and collaborate with internal HGB finance team, field and corporate associates concerning financial questions and issues. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation but seeks continual improvement, and efficiency. Makes decisions regarding own work approach in concert with team and department priorities.

Key Accountabilities -

Responsible for the completion of monthly cost accounting and compliance processes including procurement processes and travel and expense reporting

Responsible for the completion of the monthly close process

Assists in development and maintenance of financial reconciliations.

Responsible for compiling and analyzing financial statistics, with recommendations to leaders

Assists in Finance Department special projects.

Required Qualifications

Our Department of Defense contract requires U.S. citizenship for this position

Successfully receive interim approval for government security clearance (eQIP - Electronic Questionnaire for Investigation Processing)

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business field

5 or more years of accounting experience

Healthcare experience

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to learn quickly

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Business Administration

Certified Public Accountant license

Proficient in Access

CAS and FAR experience

Experience with Concur Travel and Expense system

Experience with iProcurement system

Experience with Hyperion Smartview system

Experience with SQL and Tableau
