Description

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will work as part of the Technology Business Management (TBM) team within IT Finance under the Corporate Finance Organization. The TBM team is focused on providing cost transparency of IT Services to IT and Business Leaders and other key stakeholders. This role will need to understand department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer collaborates with various associates in IT and at various leadership levels to increase cost model accuracy. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer describes and utilizes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable information. This role can influence department's strategy and is a supportive role to the entire IT Finance team.

Primary responsibilities include:

Responsible for gathering, loading and validating data into our IT service costing tool, Apptio, and analyzing results for insights or action steps by key stakeholders

Responsible for learning how to maintain and modify the cost model in Apptio

Develop dashboards and other reports as requested by end users and may develop reports for analysis activities only

Partners with data owners to resolve data gaps to increase quality of data as well as may partner with others to obtain new data for utilization within our cost model

Provide education and enablement for IT Associates, IT Leaders and other key stakeholders

Other assignments as requested by leadership

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

3 or more years of experience in data analysis

1 or more experience developing financial models and data visualization dashboards

Experience with creating and utilizing APIs to automate data loading into various tools, such as Access, Power BI, etc.

1 year or more of SQL experience with coding and executing code

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and comprehensive knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, including Access, PowerPoint, and Word

Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction

Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations

Proficiency in verbal and written communication to various levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications

Understanding of Technology Business Management (TBM) discipline and methodologies

Experience with tools such as Apptio BI and Power BI for creating data visualizations and dashboards

Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling

Advanced in SQL, SAS and other data systems

Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

Additional Information:

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated (preferred) or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work.
