Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for projects associated with the maintenance of sales and use tax records related to audit and or internal reviews. Additional responsibilities include monthly and quarterly gross receipts and sales use tax compliance reporting. This candidate will be responsible for sales and use tax research to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and to minimize tax liabilities. Additionally the candidate must have good analytical skills and knowledge of a broad range of sales use tax matters. This candidate will be responsible for acquiring and manipulating data files using SAP Access and IDEA. Other responsibilities may include tracking and arranging utility studies reconciling accounts preparing compliance reporting for credits and incentives assisting in audit defense and researching sales and use tax laws.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Requires broad knowledge in general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor s degree in accounting or equivalent in academic field directly related and essential to this position.

Experience: 2 plus years.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiating skills as well as good interpersonal skills are mandatory.

Computer Skills: Requires advanced computer skills; must have working ability with computer software such as SAP Excel Access Vertex Word and Outlook and the ability to perform technical tax research using Thompson Reuters BNA or other tax research tools.
