Reporting to the Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, this individual will be responsible for assisting in the reporting and analysis of a broad range of activities including: preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results for presentation to senior leadership and investor relations, coordination of the annual business plan, quarterly full year updates (projections and R&O), variance analysis and financial modeling (Profitability/Margin, Bonus, LTI).
Description
The successful candidate will support analysis of company-wide actuals, budgets and projections. Specific responsibilities include:
Steward of the total company revenue and gross margin performance reporting, planning and analysis processes
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and integration activities across the Global Finance organization
Responsible for all financial aspects of the Total Rewards Process including employee bonus and Long Term Incentives (LTI) rewards. Partner with the Total Rewards Leadership team to evaluate proposed adjustments, provide forecasts for Board of Director updates and calculate actuals used for bonus payments to employees.
Own the total company financial performance management and rewards forecasting and reporting process including business partnering with total rewards leadership (HR)
Prepare insightful analysis of the Company’s operating results and plans for presentations to senior leadership and the board of directors
Individual will interact with various levels of Finance Leadership, key finance contacts in each of the regions/business units, and other finance and non-finance groups such as Corporate Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Human Resources total Rewards, Communications, Tax, Treasury, etc.

Gain a strong understanding of the company’s performance and issues that could impact the company’s overall results. Utilize the financials systems, gather critical insights and present in a clear and concise manner
Master the ability to obtain and summarize financial data using BMS financial systems, while presenting critical insights in a clear and concise manner.
Obtain a thorough understanding of BMS financial processes and business operations for all parts of the organization including how divisional and staff operating results translate into the Company’s external financial statements and EPS.
Develop matrix project management and leadership capabilities by delivering against strategic Global Finance initiatives in the areas of continuous improvement and acquisition integration.
Experience the connection between processes, analytics and reporting from a total company view on both an internal and external basis.
Manage and deliver on objectives in an environment with stakeholders across many functional areas.
Obtain exposure to various finance organizations and Senior Finance Leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or CPA is preferred.
Minimum of 6 to 9 years experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis is required.
Must possess strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Strong business partnering skills. Ability to build relationships and work effectively in a matrix organization
Must have ability to manage multiple tasks, be well organized, and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding deadlines.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel; a detailed understanding of BMS Financial Reporting systems is preferred (notably Hyperion and SAP BEx).
Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills.
Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and have the ability to work independently.
Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical landscape (competitors, products and environment).
