Your impact as a Claims Preparation Team LeaderJob Responsibilities:Service Planning and ExecutionEnsures appropriate project scope/budgets for projects and assignments completed by project teamsMonitors performance against budgets throughout course of year and adjusts as necessary.Actively communicates valuable services to clients and prospectsPerforms service/projects/contract obligations efficiently and timely as demonstrated through documentation, correspondence, and professional deliverables.Successfully handles client expectations by frequent, clear communicationsEstablishes credibility with clients and colleagues by maintaining close associations with professional/trade organizations, code-making bodies, and regulatory agenciesEnsures high quality of deliverables with high degree of accuracy by conducting semi-annual review of a sample deliverables developed by the team.Ensures an implemented service agreement and budget is complete for all assigned projects and for those handled by the team.Revenue GrowthDevelop a following with Producers, Account Executives, Commercial Risk office leaders, and property brokers that lead development of a book of business and establishes you as the go to person to address client concerns regarding claims preparation.Actively leads, builds, and runs project teams/services teams with a business mentality, working closely with senior management to use all available team resourcesActively communicates with and provides updates to senior management around potential cross-selling opportunities, staffing/resources issues and billing issues.Is responsible for ensuring bills are paid in a timely fashion.Ensures all billable time is expended on those projects that have documented approvals, contracts, and clear lines of sight to revenue.Optimally collaborates with brokers, producers, claims advocates and account executives to deliver client results efficiently.Identify and facilitate opportunities for revenue growth, helping to achieve the annual target budget.AdministrativeFollow all administrative requirements including entering time weekly in Workday, maintaining project details in Project Lifecycle, adding prospective projects into business development pipeline, adding records to the Claims Resolution Platform, participating in the Claims Escalation Process, ensuring invoice accuracy and approvals, managing and follow through on accounts receivable.Timely responses (within 24 hours to leadership, team members and clients as well as demonstrating a team approach.Holds direct reports accountable for their performance by providing frequent verbal and written feedback.Colleague EngagementLead a team of claims preparation accountants at various levels of experience. This includes monitoring their workloads, providing technical and professional coaching and support, conducting performance reviews, conducting merit increase and bonus discussions.Conduct annual talent reviewsRetain, attract, and mentor talent – develop diverse team members through delegation, mentorship, training, recognition, and feedback to produce successful projects and cultivate professional growth.
