Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Manage the development of inorganic growth strategies and the evaluation of business development transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate partnerships, minority investments and joint ventures, throughout our U.S. operations. Leverage key business insights and understanding of prevailing market dynamics to shape the direction of GEHC, while driving growth and allocating capital across our company to achieve all organizational targets and goals in this area. Manage internal portfolio analyses, target evaluations, scenario planning and modeling activities and strategic evaluations throughout our U.S. operations. Identify and drive new areas for investment and growth outside the company's core businesses and will oversee business, industry and competitor analyses to develop strategies to support business growth and profitability, while leading deep-dive analyses of critical business challenges to identify solutions and roadmaps to further our company's growth in this area. Manage teams of GE Business Development employees in supporting functional growth strategies and initiatives, while overseeing transaction completions and early integration plans and budgets throughout our U.S. operations.
Qualifications / Requirements:
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field, and seven (7) years of progressively-responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in M&A. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign degree equivalent, in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in M&A. The position also requires: 4 years of experience in leadership roles, handling cross border/international Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures, structured investments, partnerships, and similar corporate transactions, including the handling of complex accounting, economic, tax and legal issues; 4 years of experience with commercial and supply related agreements; 1 year of experience with complex financial analysis and modeling, including public and private company merger models, LBO models, capital budgeting, capital markets transactions and general corporate finance and capital structure modeling and analysis; and 3 years of experience in the global healthcare industry, including key players, market dynamics, trends, industry deal activity, competitive landscape, with specific depth and familiarity with the medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare digital/IT sub-sectors.
