Reporting to Manager Fixed Asset Project Accounting and Lease Accounting, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for Global Fixed Assets and Global Advertising/Marketing Project Accounting operations, providing support to assigned client groups around the world as well as Lease Accounting.
Main responsibilities will include:
Supporting marketing and capital processes as well as the application driving the process within the remit of the Project Accounting
Ensuring that the business needs are being met globally by the processes supported by the Project Accounting and Reporting systems (including Resource & Portfolio Management (RPM) and SAP)
Management of the month-end close processes to ensure accuracy of reported books
Communication of known issues to business partners and work with the business, Accenture and the IM teams to identify & implement the optimal solution
Identification, testing and implementation of ongoing process improvements
Close cooperation with Accenture, the outsourced service provider for General Accounting
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA preferred
Minimum of 3 - 5 years diversified experience in accounting / finance and systems
Proficiency in Excel
Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:
Knowledge of SAP and / or RPM (Resource and Portfolio Management)
Knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting, Project accounting and / or Lease accounting
Understanding of controls with knowledge of SOX
Knowledge of US GAAP
Demonstrated Financial and Analytical skills
Global Services Experience – Business Relationship Management
Gain knowledge of how a leading edge Service Delivery model delivers global services effectively at a local level from outsourced centers.
Managing and delivering on objectives in a complex matrix environment where collaboration with stakeholders is a critical success factor
Will develop effective collaboration skills working with a range of Business Unit Finance, global Process Owners, Project and Development Team
