Job Summary
Responsible for managing the operations of the Accounting department. Provides technical and administrative supervision. Provides analytical support regarding financial statements and general ledger. Serves as subject matter expert and provides guidance to employees, as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies, assist in development and meeting of, departmental budget.
Job Description
Candidate should have a background in analytical tools. This could include Alteryx, Analyze, Oracle, with excellent skills in advanced excel features. If no immediate skill set is available in these areas, it will be important to be willing to upskill and train in these tools.Core Responsibilities:Financial Application Project Management:
Focus on automation efforts related to the Compensation & Benefits accounting team
Adhere to project plans and participate in any user acceptance testing (UAT) on defects / enhancements of various financial application modules such as CIFA, Incorta & Workday Reporting enhancements and maintenance of reports, documentation, issue logs, and testing / functionality
Maintain appropriate SOX related documentation.
Provide notifications for status changes, upcoming due dates, and delinquencies.
Assist in automation, process improvement and standardization projects by identifying risk areas and recommendation for improvements.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
General Accounting:
Participates in the development and utilization of financial models and analysis.
Assists with the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports.
As needed, research variance to budget and forecast through detailed operational and financial metrics and explains results of assigned areas.
As needed, works with the team to prepare fluctuation analysis of monthly operating results.
