, is seeking an Accounting Manager
to join the team!
Our luxury hotel offers an unparalleled combination of Southern hospitality, world-class service and historic surroundings. As the centerpiece of the city, the hotel is located near the French Quarter and within walking distance to the city's most vibrant attractions and entertainment, including Jackson Square, Bourbon Street and the Arts & Warehouse District.
Embodying the rich heritage of Southern hospitality, this historic hotel features 504 rooms, over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, and five (5) food and beverage outlets.
This includes 2 restaurants, a café, seasonal rooftop bar, and in-room dining.
In this role, you will be responsible for theoversight of AR and Income Audit, house fund audits, chargebacks, etcof the hotel.
The ideal candidate will
Have a strong working knowledge of Excel and Word/MS office.
Have the ability to communicate verbally and in writing and prepare and analyze complex financial reports and make judgments.
High School graduate or equivalent required.
College degree in finance related area is preferred.
At least two years full-service accounting experience.
Hospitality experience preferred.

What will I be doing?
As an Accounting Manager, you would be responsible for managing the audit function in hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Reconcile General Ledger accounts, review discrepancies and problematic accounts and guide staff to follow-up on such accounts
Ensure processing and accuracy of reports including, but not limited to, month-end closing, monthly forecast and variance, etc.
Control and track inventories of operational, departmental and team member meal budgets
Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
Recruit, interview and train team members
