AlerStallings is looking to hire a full-time Accounting and HR Administrator to provide administrative support at our Dublin, Ohio office. Are you super organized and efficient? This Accounting and HR Administrator position starts between $42,000 - $47,500/year depending on experience. We also offer a robust benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, FSA plans, a 401(k) plan, profit sharing, and paid time off (PTO). We are closed for one week at Christmas and one week over the 4th of July for which employees are paid on top of their individual PTO! A day in the life of an accounting and HR administrator

As an Accounting and HR Administrator at our law firm, you are a true utility player who provides fantastic administrative support to the Accounting and Human Resources Team. They don’t know how they ever managed without you! You are a flexible, get-it-done person who takes on new tasks with ease. You love to keep busy and are always willing to help. Though there is never a guarantee of what each day will bring, you spend roughly 75% of your time providing accounting administrative support and about 25% doing the same for Human Resources.

Some tasks that you will perform regularly include:

Maintaining the inter-company spreadsheet and recording the data into the general ledger

Managing accounts receivable including the daily recording of bank transactions and credit card transactions into the general ledger

Managing the accounts payable semi-monthly check runs and all vendor inquiries and relationships

Opening mail daily and managing the accounting email inbox

Managing semi-monthly payroll runs

Administering various employee benefit programs as well as communicating with employees and conducting meetings about them

Ensuring compliance with USCIS Form I-9

Tracking employee paid time off (PTO) requests and Daily Roll Call

Maintaining employee milestones and sharing company-wide

Assisting with the development and implementation of human resources policies

Updating the employee handbook

Requirements

Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop, and Excel

Ability to navigate the client management system

Understanding of basic accounting practices and terminology

Are you the kind of person who quickly catches on to what needs to be done, and then just does it without waiting to be told? Are you able to keep track of multiple tasks at a time? Do you have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal? Are you efficient and good at prioritizing? Do you have a positive, can-do attitude? If so, then you might just be perfect for this position!

Work Schedule

Hours for this position will be 8:30 am - 5:30 pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Overtime is available as needed.
