ADP is hiring a Tax Manager for our Client Facing Tax Team in the HRO - Comprehensive Services Organization.
ADP is hiring a Tax Manager for a rare opportunity to build their team from the ground up. Help stand up and supervise an internal Tier I Tax Team for our business unit. This team will be inbound call flow and will serve as Comprehensive Services front-line for answering client's employer tax related questions.
Standing this team up will include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training associates as well as implementing a call flow systems and solutions to support a client facing employer tax group. The Manager will work with various ADP operational departments to ensure effective communication to achieve business objectives and results. Will build rapport, establish trust, and create a positive solution-oriented client experience.

The ROLE has responsibilities to:
Lead daily activities of the team to ensure that all work is completed according to scheduled deadlines with attention to quality standards, priorities, and overall goals.
Enhanced understanding and implementation of Business Unit & Market aligned strategic goals.
Oversee the use of standard process workflows by team.
Identify vision for Tax Support as critical client value proposition; identify client pain points to build new and incremental opportunities.
Function as a consultant and business partner to other groups within ADP Comprehensive Services.
Train and mentor team members and identify development needs across the team.
Track various productivity and key performance indicators to ensure that established levels are achieved, especially during critical activity periods. Analyze team statistics and prepare reports.
Manage escalated issues and provide direction.
Collaborate with peers to establish best practices.
Evaluate associates on performance and complete annual performance appraisals.
Work in collaboration with associate to establish individual development plans.
Develop and administer corrective action and performance improvement plans.
Hire/Fire authority in conjunction with Human Resources.
May have budgetary responsibility.
Collaborate with Workforce Management on oversight related to scheduling.
Participate in task forces, strategic initiatives, stretch assignments and collaboration opportunities with other business units.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT ON A TYPICAL DAY:
In this role, your team will serve as ADP's front-line for solving clients' tax challenges, including answering employer tax related questions, helping clients navigate ADP tax technology, and more.
Your team will assist clients with their employer related tax situations, which could include troubleshooting and training.
Support might also involve partnering with multiple departments or business units for troubleshooting in order to deliver a seamless client experience.
Your team will continually advance their knowledge and skills on payroll tax, including federal and state compliance, standard operating procedures, administrative practices, other products, and desktop support tools to develop and maintain their ability to support our clients' tax needs.
You team will adhere to a daily schedule and organize themselves to successfully receive a high volume of inbound calls. Daily phone time may increase during peak seasons, like at the close of the quarter and/or year.
The nature of what this team accomplishes daily will not change - their #1 goal is to provide Tier I Tax Support to clients.
Every day will be different due to the varied nature of tax inquiries received.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience and education
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in a customer service environment, with proven ability to produce positive results.
A strong focus on Client Satisfaction in a relevant industry or has a payroll/ payroll tax background.
At least 3-5 years of people leadership experience.
Prior exposure in a call center environment.
Ability to think strategically and drive outcomes
Ability to multi-task with sound analytic, tax technical, organizational and project management skills
Has the experience and judgment to initiate, plan, execute, and complete goals timely
Ability to collaborate successfully across business areas
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in ADP technologies and working knowledge of various tax related operating systems
