Job Summary: The Operations Specialist is a member of the CoverWallet Accounting Operations team reporting to the Manager of Accounting Operations. He/She is responsible for delivering optimal results through the successful execution of assigned responsibilities. The core activities of the Accounting Operations team include, fiduciary cash balancing and reporting, fiduciary cash disbursements to insurance carriers, servicing front office and insurance carrier requests and billing enquiries and partnering with Finance and Controllership on fiduciary funds monthly reporting. Essential Job Functions:Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly fiduciary cash balancing and reportingResponsible for downloading banking activity reports from financial institutions to complete daily reconciliation processResponsible for discrepancy tracking and co-ordination and resolution of issues related to customer payment applicationCritically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and abstract up from low-levelResponsible carrier remittances as assignedPartner with controllership team to resolve outstanding fiduciary bank account reconciliation itemsPartner with CoverWallet operation and product teams to resolve policy system and data input errors that are resulting in cash reconciliation issuesAd hoc analysis utilizing in house systems and databasesAnalyze information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details to identify recurring imbalance driversPoint person for internal and external contacts for inquiriesEnsure compliance with accounting policies and financial controlsOther responsibilities and enterprise duties as assigned Qualifications: Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or Mathematics preferredMinimum of 3 years related experience Technical:Solid financial accounting and analytical skillsExperience in researching and resolving reconciliation variancesThe position requires a motivated self-starterAdvanced Excel, Google sheets, and database analyticsInsurance Agency accounting experience preferredStrong customer service focus Professional: Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skillsFlawless attention to detail, with strong lean-in and roll-up your sleeves attitude, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environmentStrong customer service focus About Aon:Aon plc (NYSE:AON) is a leading global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions.
