This US owned organisation, have consistently demonstrated 20% growth, even throughout the pandemic, and are now looking to take the business to the next level. This is great business with an excellent story to tell regarding how it was founded!They are now looking to appoint a commercially focused Director of Finance, which is an exciting, newly created role due to their recent success. This role will play a critical part in the leadership team and will cover 5 manufacturing locations.This will be a highly commercial role, where you will be in full control of an area of the business with high growth potential, liaising constantly with non–finance senior stakeholders and really driving the business forward. The business is looking at future acquisitions and would expect the Director of Finance to play a significant part in making these a success.Reporting to the General Manager, your role will include the following responsibilities:––Own the financial numbers and targets–Lead the planning, forecasting and reporting as required–Lead and direct the day–to–day operational tasks of the finance team–Report on financial performance of the business to the Board–Prepare annual plans and budgets–Identity potential acquisitions to support the future growth of the business including financial modelling–Work closely with the Sales teams to ensure forecasting is correct and that they are aware of the financial targets in place to drive the numbers–Efficient and effective cash management across the business–Establish policy and direction for inter–company finances and allocations–Ensure compliance with the financial regulatory framework and reporting requirements including Sarbannes Oxley–Manage 5 Plant controllers across the 5 sites, taking responsibility for their development and growth–Manage and mitigate business risks–Review capital plans and business systems and processesTo be considered for this excellent opportunity, our client requires a strategic qualified accountant with exceptional leadership and man management skills. You will need to have a background in multi–site manufacturing and will have ideally worked for a US owned business. If you haven't worked directly for a US business, then an understanding US requirements will suffice. This role will involve some travel to Spain and the US, as this is where some of the manufacturing sites are based and it is essential that strong relationships are built across them all.
