Job Description Summary
Cushman & Wakefields San Francisco-based Retail Investment Advisors Team represents institutional and private capital investors and developers in the marketing and sale of their single and multi-tenant retail properties. This dynamic and market-leading team is offering an exciting opportunity for an individual to enter the commercial real estate industry as a Market Research-Financial Analyst This role will conduct the market research and financial analysis central to the Teams activities and success. This role reports to the Operations Manager and supports the team directly. This is entry-level position presents an excellent career growth opportunity.
Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
Obtain the property data from clients required to complete property underwriting and analysis
Engage with clients property management and accounting personnel to review and confirm property operations and historic performance
Perform various analytics using industry-specific systems/tools such as Argus and Microsoft Excel
Prepare analysis and corresponding write ups for Associates review and completion
Meet with Team leaders to review and modify analysis assumptions and scenarios.
Market Research
Perform market research to ensure underwriting assumptions are supported by market conditions and trends
Prepare written and visual summaries of research results.
Marketing Support
Attend strategy meetings with Managing Directors to discuss required analysis for pitch/proposal and corresponding assumptions and scenarios
Provide financial and markets analyses to Marketing Director for inclusion in proposals to clients
Work with graphic designers on related visuals for analysis
Assist in the management/development/upgrading of the Teams investor contract database
Assist in the distribution of Team marketing materials.
Background/Experience/Qualifications
Exceptional analytical skills
Ability to read and interpret financial statements and leases
Advanced market research skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to multitask is essential
Rigorous attention to detail and self-driven demand for excellence
Bachelors Degree (Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred)
1-3 years real estate experience, internships considered
Financial modeling experience
Experience in Excel
Argus Enterprise, Real Capital Analytics and Salesforce CRM tools a plus.
