Aon is looking for a Senior Account Executive in Burlington VT As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Captive business group within Aon in Burlington, VT. As a Senior Account Executive, you will report directly to an Associate Director, Financial Services. The Aon Insurance Managers Burlington Vermont office is seeking a Senior Account Executive (SAE). The SAE will also be responsible for contributing to a positive and supportive work environment, instilling a philosophy of accountability and quality client service. Additionally, the SAE will be responsible for the overall management of a portfolio of more complex captive accounts, ensuring that the client needs are met and the companies remain in compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements, coordinating efforts with the client, outside service providers and Aon client teams. Your impact as a Senior Accounting Executive Job Responsibilities:Resource to colleagues for technical, career development and staff interactions guidance;Oversee the day-to-day operations of clients and be their primary contact;Ensure quality and timeliness of financial reports and regulatory filings; Oversee Aon colleagues / client teams to ensure deadlines are met on a consistent basis;Mentor and develop the skills of the accounting staff;Coordinate efforts with outside service providers, including actuaries, auditors, investment managers, brokers, claims adjusters and outside counsel to proactively meet client needs;Communicate with State regulators regarding changes to the client business plan;Prepare and present materials during client board meetings, ensuring quality and inclusion of value-added information; andPartner with Aon leadership to evaluate and implement operational procedures for innovation, efficiency and best of class. You Bring Knowledge and Expertise Required Experience:Ability to effectively lead a team, drawing out the best of each employee;Demonstrated ability to partner with the leadership team to meet office objectives;Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory (STAT) financial reporting;Proven ability to service clients and meet their needs on a consistent basis;Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice to clients, colleagues and other service providers, while maintaining a working knowledge of the details;Ability to converse with clients to explain, negotiate/ breakdown issues and ability to research, discuss and implement revised or new accounting guidelines or regulatory requirements;Ability to coordinate the activities of a team of colleagues and effectively communicate goals and strategy;Ability to coordinate activities with varied service providers, negotiating issues when necessary; andOrganized and experienced in managing several projects simultaneously.Preferred Experience:CPA and 10 years in accounting/finance a plusExperience in the insurance sector a plusEducation:Bachelor’s degree with Accounting concentration or equivalent years of industry experience.
