SUMMARY
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. is currently seeking a qualified Accounts Payable Manager. This position will manage and coordinate activities required to ensure an accurate payments of vendors, building key relationships with internal and external customers, and driving department efficiencies and automation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes invoices and expense reports for accuracy and eligibility for payment
Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate financial records and control reports
Reviews and approves vouchers of AP staff to ensure accuracy of information
Reviews and approves the reconciliation of customer statements to invoices in the accounting system
Reviews and approves vendor information entered into the accounting system
Reviews and approves weekly check runs
Completes and files Form 1099 annually with IRS
Initiates federal and state tax payments as directed
Contributes to the development and improvement of current processes and procedures.
Mentors employees by training and coaching
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible experience in accounts payable
Three years of leadership or supervisory experience
Strong communication and computer skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel
Experience with accounting software (Costpoint, Deltek, Concur etc.)
Ability to pass a drug, background, reference, and credit check
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and DCAA requirements
Ability to read and interpret financial data and documents, such as reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence
Good working knowledge of various computer business software applications presently used by the Company.
Ability to learn and understand the Company’s Policies and Procedures
Ability to actively listen and provide high quality customer service
Ability to be detail oriented; superior organizational, follow-up, and records maintenance skills
Ability to exercise resourcefulness
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong knowledge and working experience using Deltek Costpoint, Cognos and Concur
Experience in a multi-company environment
Experience with government contracting

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

Hires and supervises direct reports.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
