Profile

Summary: This position is responsible for supporting our management team in preparation for Product Optimization Reviews and Product Costing for the Fresh Meats Division. This includes synthesizing information from numerous sources (Operations, Sales, Scheduling, plant locations, etc.), analyzing trends, review and investigate opportunities, and providing clear explanations of product costings.

The Product Optimization Review and Product Costings are utilized by our Pricing Team to make pricing decisions; therefore, accuracy and analysis of the information generated by this position is critical.

This position must be able to navigate dynamic environments, demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to success.

Other key duties include: Preparation of various weekly product contribution analysis and product costing analysis. This includes gathering sales information, production information, and costing information from various databases to generate accurate contribution analysis for management evaluation. Other duties will include product yield analysis and other special projects as needed. This position will serve as a collaborative business partner providing insight and information to drive performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Accredited Bachelor’s degree required. Accounting Finance major preferred. 12 hours minimum Accounting required.

Experience: 1 plus years’ experience preferred. Industry experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft EXCEL, Word and data base systems. Experience with SAP and Tyson Fresh Meats yield systems is beneficial.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential.

Special Skills: Analytical and data management skills are essential.

Travel: 1-2 domestic trips per year.
