Accounting Administrator - Kenton TN

Profile

This position provides support to the Grain Elevators Payment and Accounting process. This position will perform tasks related to one or more of the following areas: management and retention of documents, transactional processing and/or payment processing.

This position may also be asked to assist in the research and resolution of the questions and issues that can arise in the Payment process and other duties as needed. The position will have the potential to interact with Tyson Team Members across the organization and with various members of a Tyson vendor's organization.

The following but not limited duties are:

• Settle daily grain receipts for Grain Elevator Operation

• Mail checks to the customers with settlement sheets for Grain Elevator Operation

• Maintain check log of checks printed

• Assembly checks with delivery sheets and settlements and attach a check log of checks in settlement packets to send to locations for them to sign off on

• Maintain a list of sheets that have not been returned and follow up with the account rep who received those checks to get a copy of the signed off log returned

• Make copies of checks to keep on file

• Scan supporting documentation for settlements for payments

• Help to maintain shippers log for both Intercompany and External Sales

• Assist in entering outbound train tickets in each location

• Assist in entering actual weights and grades for trucks

• Filing settlements

• Assist with assembling sales settlements with outbound numbers

• Print tickets off web site on truck deliveries for External Sales

• Assist with making sure Accounts Payable in Agris is cleaned up as checks are received back

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 plus years of office experience.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including generating simple spreadsheets; Microsoft Office; Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication.

Special Skills: Strong organizational analytical and problem solving skills; knowledge of multiple business units accounting requirements and general ledger coding.
