Position Summary
The Cash Operations Supervisor will manage the daily operations for all aspects of cash receipts application to the appropriate loan level via all incoming sources. These include but are not limited to, Lockbox, Wire Transfers, Web Payments, ACH, Western Union Quick and any other source(s) of similar nature. Application should be within RPMSC internal guidelines, policies and procedures for payments, payoffs, advance recoveries, and other loan removals. Interact with payment source vendors and manage the relationship to ensure timely receipt of transactions and funds deposit.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversees timely and accurate receipts application, processing of return items, disbursements of corporate advances and daily reconciliation of all such activities, in accordance with established regulatory guidelines and company policies
Assists in the determination of performance goal levels and supervises staff to complete such duties to attain these goals
Communicate and articulate clearly with vendors, banking personnel for lockbox and regulatory reviewers to manage the relationship and meet the requirements for receipts application and reconciliation
Contributes to RPMSCinitiatives by accomplishing related results, including special projects and/or other responsibilities as assigned
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or classes; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.Completes internal training and development to meet all RPMSC compliance requirements
Full responsibility for performance of staff, including goals, and performance reviews
Through the use of various controls reporting, ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and internal policies/procedures.
Conduct periodic review and signoff of internal risk controls in accordance with RPMSC policies and procedures
Incumbent will be responsible for meeting RoundPoint’s commitment to compliance
Qualifications
Required:
BA/BS or 8 years of experience in Accounting/related field required
3-5 years of previous successful supervisor/manager experience
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite
Must have mortgage collections background
Prior 5 years of experience within the financial industry. Fidelity’s LPS- MSP system experience/knowledge is desired
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Perform in a leadership role, but to also be recognized by others as a leader.
Ability to communicate in professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors, inter-company contacts, and investors
Ability to manage change and navigate company structure
Ability to read and comprehend vendor contracts related to receipts sources
Must react quickly to reconciliation differences, or missing receipts files with a sense of urgency
Need to have flexibility in scheduling
Desired:
Certifications from the Mortgage Bankers Association or other related professional organizations is plus
