Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, income statement & balance sheet, and other accounting statements ensuring accuracy and completeness in accordance with US GAAP. Provide support to internal and external audit.  Assists in implementation of control systems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Supports monthly close process
Gathers and consolidates financial information using established procedures in accordance with US GAAP
Provides accounting for the assigned organization entity or facility, verifying the accuracy of journal entries, budget and accounting classifications and charges to assigned accounts.
Perform variance analysis and ad hoc analysis upon request
Clearly communicates findings from analysis with support and provides recommendations
Conducts special studies and develops financial reports for the facility.
Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation, and the community.
Maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities
All other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel required, and the ability to adapt to new systems.


 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Degree in Accounting Preferred.
Pursuing or possess a CPA is a plus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear.  The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
