The Role:
Located in Cambridge, MA and reporting to the VP, Corporate and Commercial FP&A this position will be a critical member of the Finance team as we support a growing organization and development pipeline. This position will partner with both the accounting operations team and organizational business leaders on month-end close activities, internal management reporting, planning and ad-hoc analysis.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Financial Planning/Decision Analysis:
Assist the FP&A in supporting G&A functions, for both operating expenses and capital
Support and manage financial planning deliverables, such as forecasting, actuals reporting, variance analysis, and long-range planning, for both headcount and external spend
Enable business partnering to drive cross-functional transparency and efficiency
Month-end close support including month-end close accruals, troubleshooting or following-up with accounting and the business
Support data validation and perform ad-hoc reconciliations
Manage headcount and external spend to optimize business organization structure to drive value creation
Ad-hoc analyses that support business decision making, and process / system improvement initiatives
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
BA/BS in accounting or finance required
2+ years of FP&A experience; life sciences industry experience preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; willingness to “roll-up the sleeves”
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; highly proficient in Excel based modeling
Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
Experience with tier 1 ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and planning and reporting tools preferred
