We are seeking a Billing specialist
for our billing department. This position will be responsible for handling and transferring patient information, submission of claims to insurance companies and also ensures that the payments for medical services are received in a timely manner. The position is also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of patient information and following up with insurance providers for delays or nonpayment.
This is an hourly, full-time position with a full benefits package. The ideal candidate is a team player that is dependable, works well with others, has strong attention to detail, and works quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Post commercial, government and other insurance payers for vision and medial insurances
Coordination of benefits between vision and medical payers
Denial and appeal management
Updating or communicating changes in fee schedules
Communicating with retail staff or patients about insurance benefits
Aging account management
Requirements
1-3 years' experience with medical/vision billing
Ability to work independently
Strong knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare payers
