What you'll do on a typical day:
Perform and supervise month-end treasury and cash management close activities
Prepare and review monthly journal entries (prepaids, accruals, etc.)
Complete P&L, Balance Sheet and G/L account analysis
Conduct and review balance sheet reconciliations
Supervise, train and develop staff accountants; interact with multiple departments including Treasury, Tax, IT, Finance and Operations
Ensure SOX compliance
Lead process documentation, simplification and enhancement efforts
Handle team and corporate accounting processes
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
5 years relevant accounting experience
Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables and use VLOOKUP
It'd be great if you also have:
Public accounting and/or CPA experience
Experience in treasury cash management, debt, derivatives and intercompany accounting
Experience with related systems such as Oracle, HFM, Blackline, Coupa and Close Manager
Experience in the logistics and transportation industry
