Butler Rose a specialised finance agency are recruiting for a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to work alongside the CFO to collaborate with cross–functional teams to support strategic decision–making, providing financial analysis, insights, and guidance.
This role is due to continued business growth and the successful candidate will take complete control over the financial reporting function of the business, improve and implement new systems and improve management information, forecasting and reporting in a growing national business. Role requires exceptional communication skills.
Hybrid working available Responsibilities:
Take ownership of month–end account closing activities and prepare monthly management accounts and KPIs for senior management and key stakeholders.
Perform in–depth analysis of the company's underlying performance, including sales, KPIs, variances, and other key financial metrics.
Review and enhance finance team processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Compile and provide necessary information to external accountants for the preparation of statutory accounts, completion of audits, and filing of tax returns.
Assist senior management in the preparation of the annual business plan and budget, leveraging financial expertise and insights.
Maintain financial models and forecasts, including cash flow forecasting and monitoring, to support decision–making and financial planning.
Support the CFO with various ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
Skills and Experience:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Extensive exposure to both operational finance (monthly accounting, statutory accounts) and commercial finance (financial modeling, KPI analysis).
Previous experience working with private equity–backed businesses is highly desirable.
Motivated, diligent, and highly organised, with the ability to prioritise work, set timelines, and collaborate effectively with cross–functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues from different departments.
Resourceful, resilient, and flexible, with a problem–solving mindset that enables you to overcome challenges and support others in delivering their best work.
Fluent in English, with exceptional proficiency, even if it is not your first language.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with exposure to Microsoft Business Central being advantageous.
