Purpose
This role is responsible for managing Credit Activities for Shell operating unit under finance operations scope, with primary accountabilities such as:
Principal Accountabilities:
Responsible for the efficient and effective management of credit risk
, support group of analyst and debt collectors in performing their tasks by giving the advice and help with challenging situations.
Responsible for the risk assessment of customers, negotiating and managing security arrangements, establishment of appropriate credit limits
and the analysis of the overall credit exposure & the re-assessment of credit - worthiness of customers based on re-evaluation triggers and timelines.
Strategy development and alignment to regional/cluster/country credit and Line of Business (LoB) strategies. Accountable for operationalizing strategies locally with the LoBs to ensure support in respect of all credit assessment issues, especially in volatile situations/businesses where risks to the business are high.
Provide assistance to business with key analytical recommendations to support and challenge the business in their market growth/consolidation efforts to ensure overall portfolio risk remains balanced.
Regularly meet with business units to review portfolio risk and present the credit perspective for specific high-risk exposure analysis that may be escalated to senior business leaders.
Contribute as part a senior analyst to create and reinforce the optimal approach and infrastructure for the organization and process.
Negotiate & approve refinancing of Overdue Debts.
Conduct customer visits as required. Meet with owners/officers of major customers as necessary to represent business in negotiating higher risk/exposure credit facilities. Ensure that credit assessments are delivered in an accurate and timely manner to support Sales.
Act as a leader without formal authority, build a performance culture within a team/cluster
Requirements:
Experience in credit management with specific experience in credit and balance sheet analysis.
Obtained economic, accounting or finance university degree/qualifications
Good working knowledge of Word, Microsoft Outlook
Very good knowledge of Excel
Romanian native or C2 level
and very good English (written and oral)
Good knowledge of accounting controls
Desired knowledge of accounting systems and/or SAP
Excellent communication skills
Fast and accurate data input skills
Proven ability to work autonomously while keeping other team members informed as appropriate
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
