Payroll Accountant

Profile

Larkin Hoffman, the largest full-service business law firm in Bloomington, Minnesota, is seeking a highly motivated full-time (37.5 hours per week) Payroll Accountant with 3 years of experience to join our accounting team. This position’s main responsibilities are to process payroll semi-monthly and administrate payroll tax filings, garnishments, and unemployment claims. In addition to the payroll responsibilities, this position will assist the accounting team when needed. Accounting tasks include the following: preparing, posting, verifying, and recording client payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, providing support to the accounts payable clerk, and overall back-up to the accounting team. Knowledge of HRIS programming a plus. $65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Candidate should have 3 years related payroll and accounting experience and must be motivated to use technology to improve efficiency. Familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce, or other payroll processing technology and Microsoft Excel skills are required. Associate’s Degree or higher required. Must demonstrate top level client service skills with the ability to educate users on using the workforce management system, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with required occasional overtime around calendar and fiscal year-end.
