Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate with 2-7 years of experience to join the Estates & Trusts Practice Group. Foley’s Estates & Trusts attorneys provide the full range of sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management advice to individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations. The preferred location for the position is in Tampa, but candidates will be considered in any of the following offices: Chicago, Dallas, Madison, Milwaukee, and Washington, D.C. Qualified candidate must have substantial experience in the following: drafting complex estate plan and business succession planning documents for high net worth individuals; drafting complex charitable giving documents; counseling clients on income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax planning; assisting with probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates; processing Federal gift and estate tax returns; and tax exempt organization planning. An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business or Finance, or a graduate degree in Tax preferred. We are seeking a well-rounded, dynamic, highly motivated trust & estate planning associate who has demonstrated an ability to thrive in a sophisticated practice in a busy, collegial environment. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. To be considered, a candidate must hold a J.D. from an ABA-approved law school and be in good standing and an active member of the Florida Bar.
