Our client is seeking a dynamic, experienced Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives related to SaaS by partnering closely with leaders whilst building the finance team for their head office in Saint John, NB. This role will be critical in building SaaS costing models and is an excellent opportunity for a creative, forward-thinking leader with a strong interest in a high-growth, fast-paced organization. What we offer: Competitive salary of $120K per year, negotiable depending on experience Competitive company group benefits Paid Vacation What you do: You will be responsible for the full cycle accounting, Strategic planning, corporate finance and treasury, and leading growth initiatives Manage a SaaS costing model that forecasts hosting and other SaaS costs, Internal controls and process management, and risk Partner with the head of operations or cloud ops team, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders Prepare, submit, and speak to monthly forecasts, including variances of actuals versus forecast, with a focus on SaaS costs Support the Technology Finance team through OPEX, headcount planning, and forecasting Prepare management reports, closely tracking KPIs around SaaS costs Monitor changes in hosting costs and efficiently produce summaries with details for tech leaders and Finance stakeholders Establish and maintain a governance structure around SaaS cost accounting, coordinating closely with AP and Accounting to book key expenses Assist with projects to automate and improve internal processes to free up team bandwidth for value-added initiatives Hiring, training, and retaining skilled finance staff Proven experience reading complex financial reports and communicating them to stakeholders Who you are: A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required or CPA designation is preferred Relevant experience, including building a driver-based SaaS costing model to forecast expenses related to a similar hosting infrastructure is required Strong analytical skills and attention to detail A proven track record of success leading teams within the finance department.
