Kodiak Support Services (KSS), a joint venture of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., is seeking an Accounting Clerk II in Kodiak, AK. This position helps the Payroll Supervisor collect, enter, and file daily and bi-weekly timesheets and human resource documents used by the jobsite to produce payroll for the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects timesheets. Reviews them for missing data such as work order numbers.
Compares leave requests and overtime requests for required approval.
Enters timesheet information into jobsite data entry system for loading into Maximo software system.
Files timesheets, and HR documents in employee folders.
NON - ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned. Learn to back up the Payroll Supervisor Will need to learn the Accounts Payable function as back up in this area.
Job Requirements :
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Understanding of Excel spreadsheets and PDF fillable documents.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
Must be able to communicate (orally and written) in English language.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Must be able to operate a 10 key calculator and been proficient in Microsoft office programs. (Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word) Experience with Cost Point and Maximo preferred.
Good ability to manage ones own time and coordinate with others.
Use computers and computer system software to enter data or process information.
Preferred:
Two years' (2) experience in Accounting or similar work.
