TAX MANAGER
Tax Managers have overall charge of assigned engagements and typically serve as the primary contact/service provider from the Tax Department. Tax Managers direct and review the work and approve the tax returns of Tax Seniors and Tax Preparers. Tax Managers also perform tax planning and consulting as well as preparing individuals, estate, trust and corporate tax returns and researching unusual tax matters.
Desired Skills and Experience
Minimum 7 years experience in public accounting
Technically proficient understanding of complex taxation issues and implications, federal and state tax law and capable of preparing more complicated tax returns
Experience in middle-market manufacturing and distribution companies
Multi-state and Estate planning experience preferred
Excellent client services and communication skills
Ability to direct, supervise and train department staff
Ability to make independent decisions on most clients issues and concerns
CPA license required
